A great Day out
Mar 2020
Visited here with my wife and two adults sons and had a great day. We traveled to Frognerseteren from central Oslo and picked up sleds and helmets near to the train station.
We then hurtled down the Korketrekken, crashed, wiped out and got soaking wet and it was the best day of our holiday.
We were lucky to be there in early March as there were very few others on the run so we were able to race each other and crash without worrying about others.
Apparently it can get very busy so not sure what it would be like in peak season but for us it was fantastic.

Great day of family fun (age 21 to 58!)
Dec 2019
Went on 19th Dec ...got there at opening time (11am) which was a good plan as slope noce and quiet ...started getting busy at 2pm. Train (line1) from central Oslo was about 20 mins then 3 min walk down to sledge hire hut, Cost was less than £15 per sledge per day which seemed good value for the fun we had. Some parts of the track are quite quick (and we were all completely out of control at times) but we had great fun and all did 5 runs ..each run and train ride back up to the top took about 30 - 40 mins. Was snowing lightly on the day we went so perhaps we didnt see it at its most scenic but nevertheless it was a beautiful winter wonderland. Self servce cafe / Restuarant near hire place is excellent .... all had meatballs in a green pea soup with potatos which filled us up nicely. Our favourite day in Oslo.

Great place for kids
Dec 2019 • Family
The house to rent the sleds from is up the slope, having better signs will help 1st timers. Plenty of parking spot in winter. The sled rental people were polite and rental prices were decent.

Sliding down the 2km decent was fantastic however, wear proper shoes as shoes will act as brakes. It can be high risk at corners.

Overall great experience.

Crowded on Sundays, great fun
Dec 2019
Line 1 from Oslo Center takes you to a nearest slope. You can rent slays and boards. Easy to ride down a couple of subway stops and get on a train for more. Try not to go there on Sundays 12-15, as the slope is very crowded.

So much fun!
Dec 2019
Myself and my husband spent most of a day at the sled run. We went on a weekday and not a weekend so that there would not be too many people, and most of the time we didn't see anyone else apart from at the train stations. The views are stunning and the sled is easy to control once you get used to it. There is a restaurant at the top of the run which is a good option for lunch.

WOW! Oslo at its winter best
Nov 2019
One of the best 'amateur' sled runs in the world. Stand in line with young and old (but admittedly, most in the 10-30 range) waiting their turn to launch on anything that slides downhill ranging from a cardboard carton up. Not for the faint-hearted.

This is a must for all sledge entusiasts - use the railway as transport from bottom to the top!
Oct 2018
This is actually the old bob sleigh track from the olympics in Olo in 1952!! I remember this from my childhood and youth as one of the activities we did al ot from we were 10 to over 20 years old and very often in groups. The local tram has a stop at the bottom and takes you to the top (Frogneseteren) where the trail starts. Here you also can enjoy the delicious apple kake and koko :-). Then it is just to wait untill all the "racers" with speed rodels ( special slewdges) becaus they will lpass yoiu at high speed - and then just follow on.
Suitable for everybody above 5-6 years that are a bit "hardy" and compannied by older persons - alone suitable from arround\ 8-10 yers old.
I was last here 8 years ago! - that is in 2011
Enjoy!

Fun outdoor activity
Jan 2019 • Friends
Rent sleds at the top (or bring your own), and the course is downhill for about 2 km (several metro stations stops) and take the metro back to the top from Midtstuen station. The course itself is free for everyone.
