A main thoroughfare in Oslo and it has lots of different shops and restaurants along it. The path is uneven in places and there are street musicians as well as a few beggars. Good range of restaurants as you head to the Palace.

This pedestrian shopping area basically runs from the train station to the palace. We enjoyed shopping, dining and watching street performers. There are some nice sculptures, a pretty park and some historical sites along the way too.

So many wonderful parks with interesting sculptures with Parliament at one end and the National Theater and Royal Palace at the other. Be sure to take in free Saturday tours of the Parliament.

Stroll stroll and then have some coffee. Great street in Oslo to just have a lot of fun and relax. Shops. Coffee. Bars. Tea. It's all there.

This is a really nice strolling avenue with shops, restaurants, hotels, street performers and lots more. The street begins at the Central (train) Station and continues northwest all the way to the Royal Palace. This journey might take 30 - 40 minutes.

Some nice places to see along the way such as the Royal Palace, the Stortinget (Parliament) and the cathedral. A lot of very nice (read expensive) shops all along.

Nice shops and with some luck you will spot nice artists performing on the street. Watch out for people who seemed to bee poor.
