This beautiful area is really good for skiing and hiking. Lots and lots of nice trails to do downhill or cross country with great accessibility by public transport.

It is a good place for cross-country skiing, sledge and walk during winter, just a magnificent and huge forest. It is a great way to have fun or relax.

So many stunning views. You can always find a suitable track - from 1-2 hours walk until several days. Easy to access with public transport. Absolutely favourite recreation ground!

Yes it is. Start at Frognerseteren. Just follow the blue signs and marks. Thats the summer tracks. Try Tryvannstua, Skjennungstua or Ullevålseter for short trips. Kobberhaughytta is nice if you want a 1-2 hour walk each way.

Easiest way is to take metro from Oslo S to either Sognsvann or Frognerseteren and from these final stations you can easily take a walk to the marka.
