Although the exhibition downstairs was well curated and from the main Natuinal Gallery we found the upstairs local museum fitted the tourist purpose well. So many other museums have exhibits about WW2 but the combination of the film and the exhibitions gave us a much...More

We were not sure what to expect in a small museum but this had a really interesting history of Bodo. The information in English was limited but there was lots you could interpret from the Norwegian displays. Unfortunately the dry aquarium is something to miss!

We popped into the museum just to kill some time, but ended up spending ages there. The displays were really good and gave us a good introduction to the history of that part of Norway.

It's well worth searching out this fascinating little local museum. It's not far from the centre of Bodo, near the Dom Kirke. There is an informative film about the history of the town and well displayed exhibits. The curators are very friendly and welcoming.
