Small village within a picturesque setting. Cruise liner stop. Ok to stretch your legs. Book a tour if you want a little more to do.

A shore excursion from a Viking Cruise. A scenic bus ride to some beautiful beaches (within the Arctic Circle). Interesting, but not for more than an hour.

We have spent in Lofoten and in Vesteralen 11 days. We took a flight (Norwegian) from Oslo to Evenes (Harstadt/Narvik) AirPort, so we can spent a lot of time travelling to Lofoten from Oslo. There at Evenes AirPort we rent a car and the trip...More

I have traveled quite a bit, but never seen anything that takes my breath away, as Lofoten does. The nature is truly magnifcent and the contrasts between the steep magestic mountains and deep fjords is just breathtaking. Really nice restaurants- Go visit Maren Anna in...More

Gravdal. Nothing much there except the Dragon Church, a beautiful wooden building dating from about 1905 I think. Lovely, well kept wooden houses, a supermarket and a derelict hotel. If you go in on a cruise you will probably be tendered in but NOT to...More

I would suggest you get to Trondheim by plane and then look at RometoRio on your browser. It will give you all the alternatives. We found it very reliable getting around Norway.
