One hour out of Honningsvag. A scenic trip with many photo ops including numerous reindeer herds. The Cape itself is where the Barents Sea meets the Arctic Ocean. It sits on a cliff that rises 1000 feet above the coast and topped by a large...More

We were on a cruise to Norway and stopped in Honnisvag. We took a bus trip to the North Cape and were free to walk around for a couple of hours. It is beautiful. There is a center where there is a wonderful short film...More

We took a bus from Honnisvag to NordKapp. First of all the ride there was interesting with its treeless windswept vistas. Then there is the Visitor's Center which had interesting exhibits, a gift shop, and a cafe. It was also a good place to come...More

As an attraction, I would have rated it a 4 (a good must see must do thing) Here is the thing. Nordkapp is just a famous place. It is a place known to all Norwegians, frequently seen in TV and movies, and features a dubious...More

It takes about 40 mins to 1 hour by coach to reach the North Cape from Honnisvag. The journey takes you through breath taking scenery with barren rocks, lakes and winding roads. At the North Cape there is a huge car park. There is a...More

You're basically at the top of the world and it feels pretty good. It is pretty windy at the place and you need a car to get here but it is worth it. There is a museum theater and an expensive shop. The high point...More

Totally foggy and hardly able to see 10 metres ahead. But the globe emerged out of the fog and goose bumps were felt. It was so foggy that no one was at the children's monument when we walked out to it - there were no...More

Dear Gingermegs55, We're glad to hear that you had goose bumps, despite the weather. The idea of the signs doesn't sound bad either. :) Kind regards Pauli

After we did a hike to the real northern part of Europe's mainland (Knivskjellodden) we decided to go to this site as well. You can buy tickets for 24hrs (270NOK) and 12hrs (180NOK), but when we asked about this the lady at the counter said...More

The Reservation web site is VERY difficult to use and no indication of a reservation was made at the end of the long convoluted process. I I tried to make the reservation two aditionakl times. Then a full day later I revived three duplicate confirmations...More

Although North Cape claims to be the northernmost point in Europe, it is not. It is an island and there is clearly a more northern point right next to this point. I would not pay the money to go there. Nice souvenir shop. Good movie.More

Dear Mary, you're right and accurate :) . If we look the North Cape on the map, we can see that Knivskjelloden is the "real North Cape". However, North Cape is considered to be the northernmost point in Europe since it has been an important...More
