Kjosterudjuvet is a 10.000 year old, spectacular, ravine only 10 minutes from Drammen centre. The ravine is 1300meters long and the stone walls are more than 60meters high. A more exiting excursion is hard to find!

If you are looking for something a bit more exiting than the normal forest trails, this is perfect. It is an easy trail, but with some jumping from stone to stone and some light climbing.

Climb the canyon from bottom to top. Dangerous during spring, as the book becomes a waterfall. Children under 7 not safe. Elderly not safe. No place for move restricted.

Fantastic outdoor activity. Bring good shoes that has a sole with good grip. You may get wet on this hike as water runs through. You have to climb a ladder and use a rope right before the top.

This is a great hike for the whole family most of the summer. Can be a little challenging for small kids after heavy rain, as the river increases fast.

A prior reviewer gave very detailed directions about the hike. She said turn ONTO the river. She literally meant go on the river and make your way to the top. By taking this route you will reach the two ladders and ropes. I believe there...More

I had an extra day in Oslo so I decided to check this out. It's a nice hike, no spectacular views, but it was fun to scramble through the riverbed. There are a lot of small unlabeled trails around the river as well, including one...More

Near Kjøsterudjuvet is no cafee to leave bags. So you need to carry a backpack. This is "wilderness" but Central. really Worth the trip! I hope you visited the Place - I haven't seen the Message before today. Sorry.

If you check out the pictures you can see good pictures of the two ladders so you may evaluate yourself.
