Walked around the building complex admiring the great architecture. Saw it first time from the Ring Tram, and then later passed it by foot

The town hall is worth a visit and is gorgeous inside and out. When we went there was an ice rink and mini winter market in front of it which was really nice.

This town hall is well worth a visit - and a look from Rathauspark, as it looks gorgeous. We visited near Easter so a small Easter market was taking place.

Don't hesitate to go inside and to wander around the huge reception rooms in the upper floors. A stunning place.

The Rathaus is impressive to see from the outside (and from its courtyard) but I happen to visit on a day when they had their FREE guided tour. They only have one tour per day and only 3 days per week so it is not super easily accessible but if you have a spot in your itinerary for it, it... More

Easy to get by subway, very beautiful place. There is an event "Vienna Ice World" held during winter time. If you love ice-skating, don't miss it. A wonderful place for ice-skating.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
