This bar has an unrivalled view of the cathedral through massive glass windows. You can also see down to the street if you sit close to the windows. The bar has a three page cocktail list (recommend BBC - rum, baileys, banana, etc.), most cocktails are about 13€. The bar plays pretty funky music too, maybe just a little bit... More

Beautiful location with a view from the restaurant accross at the cathedral. They took money to hang our coats up which was something I have not seen for a while. The wine, bottle of red. it was ok but around 70 Euro a bottle for a name I did not know, would have expected a bit more. Portions were ok,... More

We have been waiting for almost 1 hour. They forgot to make our dish. Totally unprofessional staff. We can't even sit where we want and they have empty tables. They charge for cloakroom 2€ even if you spend here money. The view is very bad, you can't see anything and air condition is broken. Don't come in!

We went there for a cocktail after dinner. We were surprised when it was asked a charge of 2€ to leave the coat in the cloakroom (really weird to have to pay for that in a place where you are gonna spend money afterwards, anyway...) Then it was not advertised everywhere that is SMOKING AREA all the area around, so... More

Nice ambient and view. You should visit it once, but that's it. It is overly expensive, the service is terribly slow and the desserts are bland. As mentioned earlier, the location is its saving grace.

After walking for a long distance exploring the city we stumbled across this bar as we'd built up quite a thirst! Lovely traditional staircase leading to the bar. We had a Raspberry Bellini and a beer which was average on price. Staff were polite and professional when taking our order. Relaxing music in the background which created a lovely atmosphere.

Wasn't an obvious bar but glad we found it! Enjoy the view and the atmosphere! Cocktails were nice but maybe a bit hit and miss. Had 2 lovely well made cocktails but don't have the porn star martini. Nothing like it should be!! Would recommend!

There was a good band playing the night we were there but they were a bit loud and conversation difficult. Standard drinks etc - don't know how expensive as was not paying. Fabulous views especially of the cathedral

We had high hopes that the views from the top would be great-they're not! Not really high enough to get a good view. Went in for lunch and ordered a couple of soups-again nothing special. We wanted a nice cocktail whilst there but the choices are poor so we left it. Wouldn't recommend.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
