A little off the beaten track, but especially nice for children with its many interactive exhibits. Lots of history to learn here focusing on industrial development, too.

This museum represent almost every cultural part of the world's history from its scientific point of view. For its three floors you will need not less than 3 hours.

The museum is very well structured with technology from different ages. I particularly likes the section on locamotives and the modern senction with products from the recent past. Things you may have forgotten about but recognise instantly. I would definitely visit it again.

You are right, the Vienna doll Museum has closed in 2006 and all its dolls were sold in auctions. The technical museum in Vienna - i am not sure, but I seriously doubt that they have dolls there. You can find dolls in Baden... More

You can use also tram number 52 or 58 going from Westbahnhof. The closest station to the museum is Winckelmannstraße.
