Highly recommend if you're looking for live music in Vienna. Awesome venue! The band spoke English here and there which was helpful. Some Tips: Cash only! As a group, we were pooling our cash together to make sure we could order a few rounds of drinks for the night. Our waiter said the closest ATM was a 15 min walk... More

We headed over after having viewed the online schedule but it was a Student dramatic presentation instead of Jazz. We thought it was student jazz but no, so not. Double check the schedule before going.

I've been two times at that club. Always great music and great musicians. Very nice atmosphere. Very kind personnel. Ticket can be easilly purchsed online and picked-up just before the event.

This is my secobd time, the place is great! I saw an excellent jazz performance, the place was not full and plenty of place to sit. Price was reasonable 20 euros and the beer was great Weissbeer half a litter for 4.50 euros. Staff was extremely friendly. Excellent ambient atmosphere, go for it!

We went to listen to Ed Motta and his band on the first day of our arrival.Though we were really tired, the atmosphere was so lovely that we couldn't just sit at the table and were dancing and singing the whole evening! Ed Motta entertained the audience with his sense of humor and amazing vocal skills. What a great night... More

We had a really nice night of jazz, from the Bill Evans band, who were excellent. Good wine, friendly service, great atmosphere, a generally well-mannered audience listening to the music, rather than trying to talk over it as seems to be increasingly the norm. Be careful when booking tickets online that you've got seat reservations though - the website only... More

I spent an early evening in Vienna listening Bill Evans saxophonist and his band. Porgy & Bess is an excellent jazz club where you can find an audience that knows how to love jazz, even if not perfect acoustics. There are food, good drink there , there are desert too, everything at good price... but the most important is the... More

We had a great night at this small, atmospheric jazz club. It was a great way to end our visit to Vienna. The music was excellent and appreciated by the audience who listened, rather than talked as in some clubs. Food is available , but would be awkward to eat due to the small tables and cramped seating. It is... More

I thought the band that we saw were brilliant (larry coryell & paulo morello trio). We ordered food when we arrived and ate during the performance. The food was pretty good and very reasonably priced. We booked our tickets online on the day of the performance and picked them up just before. Unfortunately it was not clear that we had... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
