Welcome to the Sixties

Best Café in the area if you want to get in touch with typical "Vienna-Style"-people and cafés: Moody waiter, great coffee and very entertaining guests.

Coming from Sydney with family in the coffee business we have high standards for our coffee. True coffee snobs really! We despair at the quality of milk-style coffee in Europe (outside Italy). In Vienna we were served dishwater tasting coffee, with roadhouse froth, everywhere we went until we found Espresso Hobby. Wow! Thick creamy milk stretched to perfection with a... More

Original fifties style bar, with an emphasize on creating very high (italian) coffee quality standards. (Suchan roastery). Compared to the other bars we visited (Sacher, Landtmann, Central) THIS is coffee, the rest is no standard at all compared to this! Always when I go there I stay longer than planned since you also get beer and spritzer there : ) I can highly... More

If you're looking for a coffee around Schottentor/Votivkirche this is the place to go (5 mins walk from Schottentor tram/U-bahn station). Excellent coffee prepared by the owner, who is clearly passionate about his coffee. I think the challenge is to find a better coffee in Vienna (or any other place). Sit inside or at one of the three tables outside... More
