I walked up the stairs one day and then up the road another day to see Nonnberg Abbey and the views from there. Being a fan of The Sound of Music I was thrilled to see the gate that was used in the film.

This Convent is well worth the time to visit and reflect. It is truely historic, like the rest of this area of the city.

Best way to get there is on the way down from the fortress rather then walking up the stairs from the town.
