Historial building, no glittery decorations, just nice and clean. You are not allowed to visit inside, but the building and the surroundings are well worth the trip up there anyway. The old town on the castle hill is in great contrast to the rest of Monaco.

This is a great way to have fantastic views over the city. It is spotlessly clean and very picturesque. Lots of little shops and place to eat. Highly recommended

The historic area of Monaco is actually very pretty... the Prince's Palace is beautiful. The entire area is charming and is worth a day of exploring. I can't say as much for the Monte Carlo area... busy with lots of 60's high rises... though the casino itself is pretty. If you're not into 60's high rises and want to see... More

Nice views of the bay from the top, you can't visit inside the Palace, there are a few guards at the entrance.

Whilst in Monte-Carlo on a business trip with colleagues we had a free day. A walk along the Harbour then up to the Palace for 11am to see the changing of the guard. The views were beautiful. A visit around the shops in all the narrow streets around the old part of Monte-Carlo to buy those tacky souvenirs! A visit... More

Very nice building in the midst of a large square. The palace is located near many apartments as well as churches and a museum. Unlike other palaces that are hidden away from the public in the countryside or other private locations, it's amongst the public.

You will certainly pass by the palace when visiting the old city of Monaco, but there isn't much to see of the palace from outside

Having been to Buckingham Palace & Versailles earlier on our honeymoon trip, my wife & I weren't overly impressed with this Palace, as there was nothing special about it and the walk up to the top was quite long. Don't get me wrong though, the Palace looks big and the guard ceremony is still worth the trip up if you're... More

We are from Philadelphia, home of Princess Grace Kelly, so this was the highlight of my European tour. The headphones were great for the boys, ages 11,10 and 8. We loved seeing the changing of the guard ceremony. Would like to have seen more information about seeing the gardens and where or how to see them.

Nothing amazing, just your usual huge european palace with a changing of the guard but if you are here in Monte Carlo of course check it out. Walking just a little bit away from palace gives incredible views though of the harbor and the city
