Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is pretty and pleasant. It is nothing compared to more famous waterfalls in bigger countries, definitely don’t come to the area just for this, but if you are in Troodos anyway it is a nice place to spend an hour or two. At the bottom of the waterfall is a pool a few metres wide, which is nice for a cold swim for the brave. On hot days there will be a lot of locals there, taking turns to dip.
Be aware that the google maps link is in the wrong place!! Google maps will send you to the carpark of Sparti adventure centre and try to make you drive on a footpath, which is impossible. You instead want to navigate to a road that google maps refuses to navigate on, I don’t know why. I have marked it on the photo attached to this review: if you drive from Pano Platres on the B8, it is the next right turn after the Makedonias road. Then, drive down the hill to the sign that reads “Milomeris waterfall” at which, turn right, to follow the road until you run out of road/track. The road is a little rough but fine for an ordinary hire car. There will be a few cars parked near the falls, it’s just park at roadside, no actual carpark.
(Also, be suspicious of your satnav in this area, Google maps sent me on a 20 min ridiculous route from Pera Pedi instead of the direct 8 min drive I found by myself on the way back 🤷♀️).
Near the parking area, there is a small cafe with a few tables but it is for drinks and ice lollies, don’t plan a big lunch there. The staff were getting a pizza delivery from elsewhere when I visited.
If you are not in Troodos and wondering whether to add it to your Cyprus itinerary, honestly I wouldn’t bother. The ‘mountains’ are the same temperature as the coast with little to do unless you are there in the cooler seasons when hiking becomes an option. In summer, stay near the sea…

We came across this waterfall by accident on a busy bank holiday, but it was awesome! It was quite busy, but we still managed to get some nice photos and go in.
We will be back on a weekday early, so we can go in properly and really enjoy it. Well worth a visit and it’s totally free!

The Millomeris Waterfall is lovely, picturesque and quite impressive. Mesmerizing to just watch it and listen to it. If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth the visit. You can park the car very nearby (there is a sharp right turn off the B8 road when coming from Pano Platres) -- it took us less than five minutes to walk from the car to the waterfall itself. They have built wooden walkways to get there easily. There is relatively little area at the end of the path to stand and get a good view of the waterfall. Fortunately, there were very few other people when we were there (late afternoon on a weekday in late May), but if it’s crowded with people, it probably won’t be so pleasant to visit.

We stopped here as part of a tour and after the walk down to the water (along with roughly 80 others!) we were met with utter chaos. Not the water falls fault obviously but people can be so disrespectful. Not just of the beautiful surroundings but just completely disregard for anyone else. Unless you’re desperate to see the waterfall then settle for the photos on here.

Honestly, the waterfall is no puddle where to bathe a bunch of people, there are no signs where there is one map in town walking along the route you walk on the mountain there is even more interesting there flows a stream shadow create trees and here again walking on the trails came to a dead end there are no signposts where the waterfall, went around the whole mountain found the descent other hikers were coming back without finding the waterfall we were lucky met a Russian man he told us to go down. Going through some cafes and a little waterfall. If you live in the vicinity you can go for a walk over the mountains the bridge is not big but you have to understand the water there is not much in July either

I really wouldn't bother and save your energy. The effort to get there versus the return is simply not worth it in my opinion.
Very popular because of Platres the town but when you finally reach it there's no room and the waterfalls barely a trickle.
Do not attempt the walk if you have any walking difficulties.

The waterfall itself is very beautiful, but because the area is small and many people go there, the idyll is lost. The path to it is somewhat signposted, but it makes almost everyone doubt whether they are on the right path. There should be a sign with a label at the point where you turn off from the river and go uphill.

We visited here as a couple arriving at 9am on a weekday August day and managed to get it to ourselves for a bit before others arrived. I would say in August if you want it to yourself, then try and get there early, around 830 latest. It was stunning today as our photo shows.

This is not the best waterfalls you are likely to see but it is okay. There are two ways to get to it. One is to drive all the way to the falls itself along well maintained but narrow roads. The other is to take the trail from the top of the hill, where you have to walk just over one kilometre downhill to the falls from the car park at the top, and the same distance up. We took the trail and found that the journey was better than the destination in many ways. The falls is not spectacular by any standard but is listed as a major attraction in the Troodos mountain brochures.

you can drive with the car right next to the waterfalls almost , so its easily accessible by small children and elders . Platres nearby has many locations to spent your day , eat, stay and many nature walks start from Platres in the mountainous area. the climate is always nice and fresh during the day in the summer months and quite cold during night . in winter times it may also snow in the area !

Are there any Fees such as parking or access?
Written 28 February 2018
No fees. Dead end lane with small parking area then 100 m walk to trail to falls. The trail is short, down a staircase into the stream bed, along a wooden walk way and the falls are at the end. No access fee to falls either. Best seen after some rain.

Are there any longer hikes in the area that can be combined with the falls, about 10 kilometers
Written 9 July 2017
The only one I can think of is the Calidonian Waterfalls trail. It is a linear trail. You can start from the Troodos square to the falls, ending up at Psilon Thendron in Pano Platres (about 3K), en cross over the road and take the trail to the Milomeris Waterfalls, another 3K. You then have to make your way back.

is it possible to do the long trail with a 2 year old?
thank you!
Written 26 July 2016
Yes, but is not pram friendly. It is a few minutes walk and then lots of steps, but under 5 mins from where you park to the waterfall
