An absolutely stunning collection of Byzantine icons, mostly 12th - 19th century AD, but one icon of St Marina dating to the 7th - 8th century AD which survived the Iconoclastic Period and Arab raiders. There are also manuscripts, icon screens, frescoes, and ecclesiastical vestments...More

I visited this Museum and I was disappointed. Lack of creativity and originality. Was not surprised nor expected anything. Easy to visit though. It takes 5 to 10mn to see it all.

I had assumed that it was a museum of the period in general but turned out to be exclusively a museum of paintings of saints from former churches. Worth a wander round but not what I'd expected.

One of a number of icon/Byzantine museums in Cyprus. Numerous icons of display but also textiles and miscellaneous religious artefacts.

This museum is tucked down a street in the old town and contains religious paintings that are centuries old. It was a privilege to see the many artists work. There are other objects too, like manuscripts and coins. Well worth a visit.
