We visited on Sunday morning. I usually love the local markets and make a point of visiting them when we are on holiday. This one is really a car boot sale with bric a brac and old household goods. There is an indoor section too. It has quite a good book store and an English man selling satellite systems. There... More

We were given advice by the holiday rep that the duck pound market was a must see! There were only 2 fruit stalls in the 'fruit market' and little else but tat in the rest of the market. The old town resembled a war zone as it's undergoing refurbishment, what a mess. It certainly wasn't worth going and we got... More

Apart from the book ‘exchange’ and the fresh fruit / veg the ‘market’ in general was filled with the sort of old tat you would find in any mediocre car boot sale in the UK. We went on our first Wednesday and it was deserted with very few stalls open. We were told it was much better on a Sunday... More

This is better than a car boot. You can get most things here. Great bacon sarnie. Freshly gathered fruit and veg. All at bargain prices. We mainly go for our weekly veg shop.€10 for two huge bags of fruit and veg. If you are not sure, the lady by the entrance will let you sample before buying.

Really not worth the time to visit, stay by the pool! We went on a Wednesday afternoon at about 4 and not too much there, a few plants etc, mainly English ex pats, so I would' nt bother going again.

When in Cyprus always go here. Second hand clothes at bargain prices. Always buy our vegetables for the week. Veg stall at the entrance. Vegetables and fruit about€10. Told the lady I was making Moussaka and she gave me some free courgettes for it.

If I was there for a short holiday probably would not be on my list of priorities. However if you are there for longer it is worth a visit on a Sunday. Good fruit, though not the cheapest, reasonably priced toiletries, pretty good selection of 2nd hand DVD's and brilliant selection of English language books

Jogged to this place from Peyia on a Sunday having seen the signs a few days earlier. What a disappointment, lots of stalls but quite a few were selling products that needed binning as they were really tatty or worn out. Very surprised to see a Brother fax machine for sale, blast from the past!! That said there were some... More
