We stumbled upon this historic site whilst walking around looking for a restaurant we were going to visit in Paphos. It’s a small site with ruins, pillars and mosaics. There are some information boards dotted about. There are raised walkways to allow you to walk...More

The church is built inside the ruins of a Christian Basilica dating from 300-600 AD (built in two terms). Looking at the huge floor plan and the massive columns the building must have been magnificent in those days, a shelter and symbol of rising Christianity,...More

A raised walkway allows you to see these ruins without interaction. There are well preserved mosaics and pillars laid out in the original Christian basillica and in the centre is a newer church which is still in use and can be visited.

I visited this church during a trip into the Troodos mountains. Dark, musty and fascinating. Lovely views too.

The remains of 4th and 5th century basilicas, the walkways are a bit dodgy. The church that is still used is 15th century and when we were walking around the site someone was playing the organ inside, the music was beautiful.

We loved this beautiful church. It is great from the outside with the walkway around the mosaics. But it is the inside that really impressed us. We went this church twice, must better early in the morning at 08:30 we were the only people there.

You could easily spend 1-2 hours there, to see the mosaics, the byzantine church, and the ruins of the Latin cathedral.
