Hidden gem that is not well known amongst tourists but definitely worth to visit!

This location is not broadly shared aamd known amongst tourists which is shame and a wasted opportunity.

It is a bit hidden away, but easy to reach from Limassol, or only a small detour from the road between Limassol and Paphos.

Stunning views of the cliffs, some nice bars and restaurants, and good waves in the water when it is a bit windy to kitesurf.

Right next to it on top of the hill there a great archaeological park (also highly recommend) which also has an amazing view of the beach and cliffs

Good but almost always windy

Its a love.y beach with many cafes and restaurants, which are always busy on a sunday. However if you plan to swim its usually windy and not so pleasant. Plan to visit cor food and not swimming

Great waves

Visited here to cool off after a trip to Kourion Archealogical Park.

The beach itself is not that impressive, quite stony and there was some building work going on whilst we were there. But it was quiet and what made it stand out was the sea, we spent ages wave jumping. Probably not enough to surf, but great fun.

I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if you are in the area its worth an hour so or of your time.

Nice beach for the families with children

I come here to relax here before my sunset visit of the ancient Kourion. Not eye-catching but not bad. Mostly sandy beach with some pebbles, quite long with enough space to park the car. For me the water was too shallow, if you want good swimming you have to go far away into the sea. However the water was clear. So it is recommend for families with children. There is a big restaurant, changing room, and beds to be rent. Quite beach if you relax and spend some time before or after visiting the ancient Kourion.

Rocky, but beautiful!

My not be the best place for sunbathing because of the rocks, but the view is beautiful and is worth at least a small visit if you are staying in Cyprus long-term.

Better now some of the sun beds have gone.

Children like this beach because the sea tends to be rough and they can jump the waves or try to surf.
Now that the far restaurant has closed it is easy to sit by the sea and not suffer from too many chairs all over the place.

Beautiful beach with high but warm winds

Went there as a hidden gem from the map. Plenty of cafe's and restaurants to eat - Beware of the high but warm winds and ensure you put plenty of sun tan on as was burned quite a bit. Sunbeds are 7.50 Euro's.

Great for swimming and safe for children.

Like almost everywhere in Cyprus, free parking and cheap sunbed and parasol hire. We enjoyed a really nice afternoon here, with good swimming. Nice and clean with facilities close by.

The best beach in Cyprus

Kourion beach is our favorite beach in Cyprus. We have come here regularly over the last 10 years. The beach is mostly sandy, with only some small pebbles and you can enter the water without having to wear shoes to protect against the rocks (which is rare on the Cyprus beaches). The water is shallow, with often nice waves and a good place to swim or throw a ball around. The beach chairs and parasols are for rent and not expensive. The only negative is that the beach gets very crowded in the weekends.

Beware

Visited this beach the other day and was very disappointed. They have now covered it in socially distanced chairs. You cannot sit anywhere near them in case you are too close. However when visiting the sunshine cafe for coffee a group arrived that was placed so close to us they were bumping our chairs as they moved. That is before many tourists arrive so I dread what it will be like if/when they do. We don’t plan on visiting again any time soon.
