Breathtaking away views opening from top of these mountains. Quite a challenge for many ordinary individuals to reach those heights but definitely worth to make it! Unforgettable moments to spent with beloved ones making you feel absolutely free from this world where you`re almost touching...More

Buffavento like St. Hilarion and Kantara is a medieval castle on the Kyrenia Mountain which was originally built as a watctower to warn against Arab raids. Buffavento was also used as a lookout for approaching ships that might have brought danger to the island. Signals...More

Ok guys! This was a rough one. Buffavento Castle is perched about 3150 feet (960m) almost straight up! The only road up in narrow and there is no safety net. We were in a wide jeep and my friend , who has driven the 6km...More

We were not warned about how difficult this would be to access. Drove from the North side of the mountains looking for the track off to the right. Little did we know we went right past it but there was no sign. Immediately after the...More

The castle is worth a visit, ignoring the dubious restaurants surrounded by dubious rural Turks near the base of the building. It's a stunning castle that would be worth getting a tour in.

Lots of steps up to the castle, took around half and hour. Not much left of the building, but amazing views of the north coast.

This place is great, although you need to be pretty fit to visit it. There is a 40 minute uphill walk from the car park before you get to the castle entrance. Once inside, it is also pretty steep to get to the top of...More

That's a hard one-do you mean the Nicosia on the Turkish Cypriot side? If so, I'm not sure. If you do mean the Greek side then the answer is-you can't. You'll have to take a taxi that will cross the border-and it's not that... More

There's no handrail, and it's a good 45 minutes. OK if the children are very fit, hold your hand and well behaved. Would I do it with Children - NO. And apart from the view it's not worth it. The views great from the car... More

Hi It will be a tough climb for a fit person with a crutch. Also make sure your hire car is in good condition to even get to the car park. It's a dirt track with plenty of hair-pin bends, and no Armco. You need a head for... More
