Again a short climb for those with mobility issues to access the museum. However, if you can manage it you will find the shipwreck and Museum fascinating as it dates back to 300BC

This shipwreck museum although small has a very interesting history of how this shipwreck was discovered and it’s conservation. Also, displayed here are photos of the archaeologists that dove into the sea to recover the contents and other items associated with this ship. There are...More

Quite a small museum but still very informative, interesting and though provoking. The castle itself was also amazing.

This ship sank just offshore Kyrenia some 23 centuries ago, and was found and painstakingly restored and displayed only in the past 30 years. Everything is exciting, from the construction techniques to the perfect reconstruction of its lost load, spanning from almonds to jewels.

The shipwreck museum was very interesting. It was really good to get an understanding of the work put in to restore the wreck, and many other details about the last journey.

The museum provides all the information you need to get an idea of the boat and its use and rescue. Dont mistake the small model for the real thing!

The shipwreck is fascinating as it is so well preserved after such a long period under the sea. Not the Mary Rose but well worth seeing. Don't miss it when you visit the rest of the castle museum in Kyrenia.
