The history of the former 'Gibraltar of the North' is still alive while driving past the historical sites of the old Fortress. Through head phones you will be part of the stereo-play of old times.

The Petrusse Express is a cute little tourist train that will take you all the way down into old town Luxembourg. Although it does not make stops, it does go slow enough so that you can view lots of the sights. It surely beats walking...More

The biggest complaint about the Express tour is that it is geared towards children. Yes, the recorded commentary includes a child talking to his grandfather but this really doesn't in any way diminish the overall experience. The Express train is able to snake it's way...More

We found the Petrusse Express perfect for investigating the old part of the city, which was the area we most wanted to see. There is only one hop-off point along the way, but it's well placed. A really enjoyable part of our one-day visit to...More

The Petrusse Express is a joy ride train that runs through the city of luxembourg, old quarters and new. The ride starts from the bridge over the casemates du bock. You need to take your tickets from the open-air stand there. Its not a hop-on...More

Slightly Boring and annoy very insightful but I would do it again with small children who are unable to walk around the city. Adults I would recommend skipping the tour and taking a self guided walk instead

It really saved me from a bad cold! The weather was awful, really awful – just about + 10 C in May (!) and a heavy rain. I had already done the hop-on / hop-off green bus, and there was still time before my train...More

I enjoyed the narrative on the Petrusse Express. It was imaginative. The story was told be a young girl and an adult. It was different, I didn't find myself falling asleep half way through! It appeals to both adults and children.

Never managed to do this ride. We were told by the local tourist information centre that the train would be starting up at 1.30pm on Sunday.... we waited and waited nothing! When we asked a local they suggested that due to the running event going...More

Only did this by luck - happened to see it go by. Excellent tour - takes you by much of the older parts of the city, with a well-done tour (you can choose the language you hear the tour in. The English version was well...More
