What a charming little museum. It's not overwhelming like so many museums can be. It's in an 1873 villa. It was built on the remains of a fortress, and you can see part of that in the basement. Good collection of art with good audio guide in English. There are some lovely paintings from the 1800's and early 1900's. It's... More

It can be found downtown. The building is a 19th-century bourgeois mansion and hosts 17th-century Dutch art works and 19th-century French history paintings and landscapes. The garden is magic and invites you to spend some time after relaxing around! Free entrance on Fridays after 18:00.

This museum has FREE entrance on Fridays from 6:00 pm. There was an air of freshness about it and the exhibits were well spaced. The staff member at the front desk was also helpful. Even if one was not aware of the artists, they were presented in a good manner and there were brief and informative captions in French, German... More

We went at a time when the place was closed. We spent some time in their garden and it was beautiful. A well laid out garden.

I did not know what to expect of this small museum after reading the reviews online. Two exhibits were on display when I visited. I enjoyed the most the room showcasing Luxembourg painters. The gardens are beautiful.

We visited the museum late in the afternoon. It was a particularly warm August Saturday. The garden was beautifull with dahlias, lily's and more flowers in full bloom. The building is larger on the inside than the outside would suggest. There were two temporary exhibitions. Peintures du Romantisme européen and the other one displaying the latest additions to their catalogue.... More

Delightful small art museum located in a sizable park of the city. The collection was organized around, the senses, such as smell, touch, vision, hearing, etc.. The staff was very friendly and helpful, to us to find signage & literature in English.
