Really enjoyed this castle. It's a self guided tour, with a well done tour that you listen to through head phones. I did not do the chair lift to the castle; my friend did and enjoyed the views. Well worth a day trip. As a photographer, it was particularly nice to have great vistas as well as the details of... More

Absolute must visit in Vianden. This beautiful castle gives you a great view and has nice stories to tell. The entrance for entering the castle is 6 euro which is fine. When we were there the ''Knights of the castle'' did a demonstration with weapons including black powder shooting. That was quite cool and made one hell of a sound.... More

After having booked 3 rooms at this hotel at a NON-refundable rate, we asked the hotel to cancel our rooms. They immediately accepted and canceled our rooms without any charge.

Our three year old had a great time playing in and touring the castle. I loved the walk up to the castle.excellent views ! It was easy to walk on your own and read the info boards. Take time to walk around the town too !

Absolute pleasure to visit! We first saw the chateau at night gleaming across the water. The hike up to it the next morning did not disappoint. The view was magnificient. It is well maintained with excellent displays including the foundations and the artefacts found there.

This is a perfect place to go with friends or family. The chateau offers a great view and the inside is very well preserved. The surrounding area has a great atmosphere.

We had a fun trip to Vianden castle. It was easy to find from the bus stop, just walk up the street. It is amazing that it got restored, considering 100 years ago it was a ruin. There are great views from the castle, and it is well worth the trip. There are plenty of rooms to look at. Some... More

It was similar to the German castles with which I am quite familiar. Excellent and pretty big castle, I got a great workout out of climbing so many stairs and steep paths, after having eaten a lovely pizza at one of the local restaurants. Lovely castle in a lovely town.

This is a lovely castle in a beautiful, peaceful place. It is situated high up on a hill overlooking Vianden, the river Our and surrounding forest. It has been well maintained and it a good example of a medieval castle with some newer bits added on. The furnishings inside are true to time period and there are some good examples... More
