I feel lucky to be Maltese as I can enjoy this gem of a theatre every now and then with so many good performances which take place at the Manoel. Some days ago I went to see 'Le Nozze Di Figaro'. Well done to all involved but a special thanks and thumbs up goes to the persons responsible for the... More

Actually we had not seen this theatre mentioned anyway -- a shame. It is definitely worth the visit. It tells the story of theatre, opera, etc in the heart of Valetta. One can use hand-held listening devices to capture all the occurred. I was very impressed with the theatre itself and the possibilities one has of lengthening the stage, converting... More

Beautiful atmospheric little place, more of an architectural gem than just for theatre or concert buffs. Very old and cute. Audio tour good too.

We were lucky enough to be in Valletta for the 'Beatles goes Baroque' concert. Fantastic show, delivered in such gorgeous surroundings at a very reasonable price.

Located in the heart of the maltese capital on Old Theatre Street Valletta, the „Manoel Theatre“ (It-Teatru Manoel) is reputed to be Europe's third-oldest theatre still showing plays, it is older than „San Carlo“ in Naples, founded in 1774 and „La Fenice di Venezia” (Italy). Named after Grand Master of the Order of St. John, Fra António Manoel de Vilhena,... More

I did not get the chance to do a tour of the theatre, but went one better than that by attending an opera performance here instead. The theatre is not a large one, but is beautiful with rows of comfortable and spacious seats. It is easy to find and very convenient for the bus station and City Gate. It was... More

The Teatru Manoel built in 1732 is one of the oldest working theatres in Europe, and is a very special performance venue. Virtually unaltered since it opened, it is surprisingly large, given that the entrance on a narrow street gives no indication of the exquisite theatre within. It reminds me of the Estate Theatre in Prague where Mozart conducted in... More

Dating back to the 18th century, this is a lovely theater, where we were schedule to watch a show, but it was cancelled and no tour of the theater was available. Still, the theater looks lovely both from the inside and out.

A medium size baroque theatre , claimed to be one of the oldest in Europe. Rich decor, wonderful acoustics. One can enjoy plays (in Maltese and English), concerts and other artistic representations from around the world
