This place is well worth a drink if you are passing, it is a tiny little bar, very 'old english' style. There are quirky little wall displays and the prices are fair.
The service was terrible; slow, grumpy, reluctant. Really let the place down.
Basic bar with good atmosphere and interesting to look at the all the naval memorabilia and of course, tributes to Ollie. Can't comment on the loos - having read the reviews I decided not to chance it!
We found the bar staff friendly enough, you...More

Pictures of Mr. Reed adourn the walls along with currency notes and flags. Not worth going out of your way for but you shouldn't miss it if you're in the vicinity.
The place where Oliver Reed passed away after drinking heavily and arm wrestling with members of the Royal Navy. Photos of Oliver Red adorn the walls and navy ensigns add to the air of a traditional pub. The staff are friendly. This is however a...More
