When you want a beer, and just a beer, this is the right sort of place. It ain’t special, it seems to live it the back of the fact Oliver Reed has his last tipple here. It’s hard work to get served, as the staff...More

Grotty. Tired. Dirty. AWFUL single toilet. Living off the demise of Ollie. Like being in a time-warp but not in a good way. Enough said.

Not a must visit but if in the area a good choice for an alcohol top up. Don't expect much and the attentive staff (behind bar - this is a pub after all) will ensure sobriety will not be a problem.

A pub type becoming rare in the Uk. A drinkers pub with few frills. Handy for a drink on a hot day. Interesting history and beloved of true drinkers.

A great place to have a drink. Excellent beer, good prices, wide selection of spirits, and a proper welcome. No pretension here, just a genuine ale house with friendly and courteous service.

It's not really that sort of pub. It's very small and a bit like going back in time.
