I went to Lower Barrakka Gardens today which in my opinion isn't as nice or big as upper barrakka gardens. The views are still nice but for the perfect sunset point pop over to Hastings Gardens which has amazing views.

Pleasant little park with lovely trees, ample seating and lovely views of Valletta's iconic harbour. Ideal to unwind in the sunshine after all those hilly streets!

Having been to the upper gardens first I wasn't interested in visiting the lower gardens until one day i thought of taking a rest while in Valletta. So glad I did because it is so much more quiet here and gardens are certainly more beautiful and more of a prominent feature.

During the walk aroun Valletta you should stop and relax in this place. Good view of the bay, nice atmosphere, a garden wher you can sit and enjoy the sun...

Nice and secluded garden - excellent for gazing out at the sea, reading a book, or just generally getting away from it all. I hardly encountered anyone here while I was in Valletta, so it's a place you can really have for yourself.

Lovely little garden. This is near the Siege Bell (also worth a trip) and great views over the harbour. There's not a massive amount of shade. Worth walking up after these gardens towards the Upper Gardens through the steep narrow streets of old Valletta.

Charming quiet place, not crowded like other touristic attractions. Good place to relax and enjoy the view of the three citied across the bay.

A nice place to overlook the bay. Not too crowded and busy which allows for some nice pictures. This is close to the main shopping area and a great place to take a break.

By taking the Barrakka lift and turning left, from its much more popular big brother Upper Barraka, a short worthwhile walk will take you to the more tranquil lower gardens.Superb views of Grand Harbour await you but from a slightly different perspective. You can also view Valletta's magnificent victory bell commemorating the island dead of WWII. Walking through to the other... More
