We had a nice trip overall, but I think it's worth customers knowing that the majority of seating consists of benches at the side of the main deck, in which you sit bolt upright and are constantly exposed to the full glare of the sun. This was too much for about half a dozen people, including two women sat by us, who ended up spending most of the day below decks. Two lucky couples who arrived early were able to splay out for the whole cruise on double-bed style seats at the back of the boat, under the shade of a canopy. I feel like using the boat's large sails would have provided quite a bit of shade, but these stayed packed up throughout and we travelled on engine power alone (despite it being, in my view, windy enough to sail). It may be that it wouldn't be possible to stick to the day's schedule if relying on the wind, but I'd have loved it if we could have sailed for even part of the day. Lunch was pretty good, but the bar - included in the price - had no ice for drinks, and declined to serve alcohol outside meal times (with a sign claiming this was due to Maltese covid-19 restrictions).…

Nice friendly staff. The lunch was good. The boat was clean. Brochure states “spacious decks” but we were touching the person next to us. There were too many people on this boat. People on the floor, in the walk way, we had to step over to get anywhere. The brochure also says “ canopies both in front and back” but only had a small canopy in the back leaving most of us exposed to the sun all day long. A reusable towel in the toilet. Surely not COVID secure. Brochure states “ open bar all day for wine and beer” but note on bar saying “ due to COVID measures alcohol would only be available at lunch time”.! This makes no sense at all.…

Many thanks for your comments. Hera II is licensed to carry 200 persons however due to Covid-19 regulations we can only embark a maximum 130 persons. On this cruise we had 70 adults and some children and therefore very well within the legal remit and also comfort-wise. As you rightly said we keep the boat clean to the maximum to avoid any issues. with regards to the open bar this is being forced by the authorities and hence we do not have any other option. Once again thank you for the positive comments and we will surely act on the negative ones.

We had a great day at sea after meeting Ramos on the waterfront and sharing our stories of Chang beer thanks to my husband’s vest. After a few texts, we booked this cruise and it was great. Limited booze due to COVID rules but wine and beer at lunch was unlimited and the food was great. Excellent views and great commentary.…

A pleasant cruise around the islands. The full-day cruise includes snacks, lunch, and an open bar. Not much shade, bring plenty of sunscreen and cover-up.

I went on a 2 day trip to Malta and Blue Lagoon was very much on the list as I loved it from the pictures. Thinking that a day trip to Comino would be nice to explore the island and give a chance to swim in the turquoise water in the beautiful beaches. Little did I know my dreams will be washed away when I chose Hera Cruises. Let me explain the multiple reasons why one should avoid them. Firstly, don't go by their vouchers. It's a sham! I went on 50 euro day cruise to Gozo-Comino-Blue Lagoon trip. The voucher said all drinks (water) and food will be provided on board and 50 euros covers everything and the boat is big and spacious. When we reached the boat it was big and would be "spacious" if they didn't cram 100 (appox) people in the boat. Second surprise came to all passengers, when they started to ask for drinking water and were told we had to pay for it. They said ONLY soft drinks/wine will be provided during lunch. Secondly, they mentioned as a part of the trip customers who wanted to would be taken to visit caves in their speedboat. They didn't do it. Lastly, and the reason I am so not hapy with them is the boat didn't take us to Comino island as promised! When the captain/crew was confronted all of them gave us conflicting excuses and when all the customers seemed not to take their arguments they were just very rude to us and asked us to shut up and have our lunch. I definitely didn't give 50 euros to stay in a flithy, crammed boat all day and some low life shout and bully me. Long story short, take the smaller less publicised cruises to Blue Lagoon/Comino/Gozo or even public transport but avoid Hera Cruises at all costs. A major rip off business!…

Are you sure you joined Hera Cruises? Because what I am reading, you joined another Company and they scammed you that you join us. As we dont have Gozo - Comino day cruise, but Round Malta and Blue Lagoon or 3 Bay Cruise. Our open bar consists of free wine, beer, soft drinks and water all day. So sure you dont pay for this with us. So before you come to your conclusion and make a bad name to our Company, check your ticket and see if its Hera Cruises you join. Further more if you have and pictures of the vessel or ticket publish them, as I am 200% sure you never took our day cruise.
