Only takes 15 minutes to get through but entertaining nonetheless. The historical content is comprehensive and fascinating, some audio content is there to enrich the experience which is mostly consisting of static waxwork models.

A short history of the often gory forms of punishment used at Mdina. Well worth a visit and reasonably priced too.

Visited the dungeons on day trip to Mdina. Lots of new things added since my last visit. Only takes approx 45 mins to see. May be scary for younger children as graphic tortue scenes. Very interesting

The Mdina Dungeons, located near the entrance of Mdina, is a comprehensive, yet incredibly creepy, museum demonstrating the various types of execution in Mdina. The Dungeons are inexpensive, €5 per adult, and I suggest visiting around 40 minutes. The wax figurines are quite graphic, hence I would not recommend this exhibition for young children. The Dungeons are history rich, and... More

Popped in without great expectations as it was so inexpensive. However, we both enjoyed the history it described, the exhibits themselves and the sort of 'creepy atmosphere' it generated. The scenes/models depicted are quite graphic but you would really expect that from the actual dungeons that were utilized historically. We enjoyed our visit and recommend it.

The dungeons are really informative and interesting and doesn't sugar coat the islands past. There's quite a lot to see and it's very well done, but i did expect one of the figures to jump out at me! Not for children as it doesn't hold back with the blood and demonstrations of execution.

The wife was not impressed but I LOVED it. Creepy when you realize that this was a real place, not a fake wax museum. A history buffs must see.

We decided to visit because the advert said it was scary. It was indeed graphic but informative. It illustrates how awful human beings can be to each other and doesn't pull any punches. I would not take impressionable young people though, it's too graphic for children. Glad we went.

Might not be suitable for young kids. A bit Halloween like... it was worth it for the masks of shame display .

This is right at the entrance of the gate - do not start with it you might get the wrong impression of the Old City or perhaps you would lose the charm ......leave it to the very end just in case you are running late for your transport you can give it a miss . Since pricing is on the... More
