Was very nice but slightly underwhelming. Probably because of how nice it is outside. Be sure to used the side entrance as it can be a little difficult to find on first view

you can see the repairs in roof where bomb came through in 1940's, and luckily din't explode. defused now but you can take some grea tphotos beside bomb
Malta has a lot of cathedrals. I think the most important is in Valletta (co-cathedral) and Rotunda. If you have time you could get for a quick stop, if not just see it from outside.
The Cathedral is located in the center of Mdina. It is very beautiful inside. Be careful if you go sunday morning. You might find the acess limited due to the Catholic Mass.

A beautiful cathedral in the heart of Mdina. Arrive welt and you can get some great photos of it before the crowds arrive.
