Riddled with jellyfish. Warm lovely day, blue waters and our boat stops and out comes floaters and googles etc. within minutes one of our group stung and in pain and then another who got really stung bad. We all stood on boat to try and watch for so we could cool off, we jumped in and out and it was frightening - my 14 yo daughter no way was she! We love Malta but the swimming was such a disappointment, our guide said due to global warming jellyfish everywhere last several years and getting worse. The Greek Isles we swum everywhere and none- I’d go there instead.

Didn't live up to the hype.
A long walk in, the rocks were very dirty (litter and cigarette butts) but the whole.experience was spoilt by the jellyfish covering the whole bay. We were caught in the middle of a large group of jellyfish and were stung several times.
The locals told us once we were back in Marsaxlokk that this is the worst year with twice the number. And they're worse when the wind blows onshore.
So check first

Really beautiful area. However over the last few years it has become way too crowded.
Don't fall for the tourist trap. If you go to the first parking lot when you see the first sign, you will have to pay 3 euros, when you eventually get there.
There is second parking lot if you go in further down the road a bit, and this one is free.

It’s a bit of hike to get here. The view is nice but nothing outstanding. This place is really only for people who want to jump from high rocks into the water.
No shade, hot sun glaring off the rocks with extremely rugged dusty walkways & overcrowded with jumpers, swimmers & spectators. Unless you’re going to jump in probably give it a miss.

Ignore the reviews. Yes, there is litter& cigarette butts on the ground, but if THAT is what is that is what you are focusing on, your priorities are twisted. Perfect cool water and there are plenty of spots to sit on rocks in the water (if you hold on 😆). We went at 10 AM first week of August and the parking lot was barely full here however, please be patient when leaving. Dirt/rocks were not too hot to walk on until about noon.
There’s a cantina there now too! No toilet though.

The road is basically one way in one way out. If you take the bus, be prepared for a walk though.

Went across by boat from Marsalokk Bay, good to shop around to find boat with good timing and shade for the trip. The bay itself requires a walk over uneven ground and is not easy to climb in and out. It was packed with young people whose diving skills were great to watch.

We headed for the harbour and chose one of the boat trips advertised on the quay (1 hour) - take up to 8 but there were just the 2 of us in ours. It is worth making sure you get one that has a canopy to keep the sun off. Ours was right next to the outdoor cafe. It was a stunning trip along the eroded cliffs seeing the fort, lighthouse, salt pans and various bays culminating in a swim at St Peter's Pool. He will stay as long as you want - just negotiate up front.

Less busy then the other beaches. I enjoyed this place a lot. People were all relaxed and there is everywhere place to get into the water.

To get there with public transport is quite hard, and from the nearest bus stop its a 30-40minutes hike on the sun with no shade at all. We took a cab from Marsaxlokk to the area and also back to the market, it was worth the money. The beach was clean at time of visit, the water was chill, but not too cold. Perfect for the hot weather. There is a bar at the top of the surrounding hill, but unfortunately there is no toilet. Also the beach doesn’t have any shade, so you should bring something to cover up or something. It was a little too crowded

The water is still a bit chilly and a few members of our group got stung by a jellyfish, but overall great experience and quite a few places to jump of the cliff.
