Gozo is gorgeous, but by far the best part was the Citadel. It's beautiful and large and fun to walk through. We didn't make it into the church, but absolutely enjoyed our stay there. Every angle was beautiful.

Yes, you can walk around the citadel at night, in fact it is a lovely time to see it, as there are no tourists around. The lights of various towns can be seen on Gozo which is also great to see. We wandered up there after dinner and saw three people, one was the security guard. Obviously things will not be open.
