Some interesting bits
Aug 2019 • Family
Some of the items were very interesting to see and they were very well labeled. Lots of history of the island.

Nice building...
Jul 2019 • Couples
The building is nice, just like many of the others in the Citadel. However, the exhibit is a little bit of a "mish mash" of things. There is a lot of features of the Maltese flora/fauna but it is a little bit disorganized and not particularly focused. I am glad I went but wouldn't have paid for it if it wasn't already included in the admission but don't regret having gone and did see everything.

Great views from the top

An amazing collection housed within the Citadel sitting on a few levels. Part of the Heritage Malta ticket, it doesn't take that long to walk around but don't forget to pull out the drawers, some things are kept from the light for preservation purposes.

we visited because it was on our multipass and it was raining. a very small place, I actually liked the house itself more than the collection.

Small and Modest but Interesting for Nature-Savvy
Aug 2018 • Couples
Located inside the Citadel, this is again a small museum (like almost all museums in Gozo Island) but it provides the visitors information about the natural history of the island as well as its fauna. Don't expect much, it's a modest place, hardly a professional museum but in case you are interested in nature, especially in fauna, it might entertain you.

Like going back to school

This is a tiny museum with some interesting exhibits. The ground floor is pump so go straight for the first floor to look at the insects and expressions on some of the birds. One looks like my mother-in-law!

I still wouldn’t pay for this place as it was included in the Cittadella visitor entrance fee. Worth it if it’s raining or you need the toilet.

Lovely building

Devoted to the geology and natural history of the island.
Entrance fee included with Malta Pass .
Some interesting exhibits but might not interest everyone.
Marine Hall and Bird Collection were top of my list but not so keen on the insect collection.

Terrible

This entire museum looks to be made by high school children. The exhibits are extremely poor quality and lack even the most basic information. In one room is an array of creatures behind glass with labels. I've attached a picture of one : "Spider". Great. thanks.

A good little museum, and certainly worth the modest admission price.
Mar 2016 • Couples
Another small museum with some predicable exhibs, particularly the wildflowers and fauna. Of more interest to us (especially my wife), was the displays of precious and semi precious stones to be found in the area. It is quite an astonishing variety on such a relatively small island.
Small gripe - no explaination was given as to why both Goza and Malta are virually treeless, compared to parts of Greece ect. But it is a good little museum, and certainly worth the modest admission price.

Small & interesting.

It's a very small museum, but still interesting and worth a visit if you're in Gozo. Make sure you get a multi-pass if you plan on going to several other museums in Malta!
