If you have extra time on your hands, stop here. We were glad we went here just for the experience, but I would not make it a huge point to go if you are in a time crunch. We had time so we decided to...More

This small indoor market is unlike other retail options in Reykjavik with a mixture of stalls run by locals, selling second hand books, clothes, tourist junk and really random food. I found some nice homebaked goods and it was a welcome change to the other...More

Another reviewer complained it was like a garage sale, and I got excited. I love garage sales. This is not a garage sale. There's a decent selection of sweaters if you want to pay $200 for them STILL. There are both local and international gifts,...More

Saved a few hours on Saturday to explore the flea market but wish I hadn't. I did buy some jewelry but it was the same as I saw in the stores. There was a lot of junk, old DVD's, clothes, toys etc. The food area...More

There is free parking near the building or cheap parking across street (free Sunday, $1.50 an hour Saturday). We went on a Sunday, stands in back had many samples of local jellies, salts, chocolate, breads, cakes, and meats. You can buy harkal, the famous fermented...More

As we were doing our own DIY walking tour of Reykjavik we popped into the flea market. I would agreed that it is a bit like an indoor garage sale and most of the used items were of absolutely no interest to me and a...More

Just imagine a massive garage sale with little worth buying, with the exception to the food market they have in the back with fresh foods (and horse meat - clearly marked). It was a rainy day so thought we would check it out, if your...More

We visited the flea market on a rainy afternoon and had a good time browsing the stalls. Nothing too interesting but we got some tasty samples at some of the food stalls and had a reasonably priced lunch at the café. Worth a visit to...More

Went there cuz I heard there was hakarl there (later on I found that hakarl was also sold at Bonus supermarket). Overall, most of the stuff are old, and generally expensive- for a flea market anyway. However, you do find some stuff that are great...More

The food court is good. We used the ATM there to get local currency. Mostly junk. Their Icelandic sweaters are not much cheaper than other locations. They have a meat section where you can find horse, foal, cliff bird eggs and fish for sale. We...More
