In the centre where Reykjavik’s old heart beats there is a charming red house, once called Aberdeen. There, Kogga, one of Iceland’s most renowned ceramic artists, runs her studio and gallery. The artist warmly welcomes visitors to her gallery that...more

We enjoyed our friendly conversation with the shop owner and artist who told us about her process and let us take a peak in her studio. Pricey but I enjoyed buying souvenirs from someone I will remember. She even said hello to us when she...More

This house and studio are very attractive in themselves. but the pottery produced there is delightful and unique. I bought two small candle holders a year or two ago and visitors still admire them. Its a pity the place is do far away. Iceland is...More

I wouldn’t really call this a gallery. It’s more of a small shop. That said, I think they had the best ceramics I saw anywhere in Reykjavik. Unfortunately, they had prices to match: You’ll pay about US$1,000 for a large vase or bowl. Still, definitely...More

The Kogga gallery is a personality laden, artist run store located in a very lovely building. We loved the idea of the shop more than the ceramics - which we're well made but just not our personal preference. Worth popping in to though.

I found this little studio by chance while shopping for gifts. SO!! much of what is sold in Reykjavik is not made in Iceland and I wanted local work. What a treasure!! The artist was working in her studio and while she was quiet and...More

Kogga is a cosy little studio in the centre of town where you will find exceptional porcelain work highly influenced by local landscape. Meet the artist who exhibits all over the world. Stunning a real gem. Highly recommend a visit.

This shop has a small, but beautiful, display of ceramic work. The glaze and shapes are exquisite, with lots of natural reflections of the Icelandic volcanic landscape in the shapes and glazes. They crackle and have texture and colors in them which are raw and...More

Beautiful, unique, spirit-filled handmade ceramic art! The shop is very easy to locate in the city center. It has work with a range of prices and a helpful, engaging staff. I highly recommend!
