We had an early morning puffin watching trip. They provide much needed warm overalls and gloves. We wore boots but were totally unnecessary due to calm seas and a trip with no sea spray on us. The staff were very informative and with the rigid...More

Do you take much time to look at Puffins during the trip? How rough is the ride on a scale of 1-10? (Suitable for older people?) If the weather is bad on the day of the tour but the trip is not cancelled, and we decide we don't want to go in rougher sea, would we get a refund? (Our trip would be last day of the holiday) Finally, what are we likely to see in the last week of April? Thanks!

Hi there, We are staying in Reykjavik from 5th-8th June and will definitely do a whale watching trip. We specifically want to see as many species of cetaceans as possible (not just minke whales and porpoise). In your honest opinion, what are the chances of seeing blue whale and orca on one of your tours? (icewhale.is says that blue whales and orcas can be seen around the Reykjanes peninsula in the summer months but there are no scheduled trips here). We can't get to Husavik. Many thanks. Best Wishes

Hey Richard, I will tell you that spotting a Blue whale off the coast of Reykjavik is very rare. We do get Orcas occasionally but again this is still considered rare although less rare then a Blue whale spotting. Blur whales... More
