Went here with my husband and 20 month old baby. Everything (rides etc) were all closed and there were nothing but farm animals that you can see at the side of the road if you were to drive outside the city. Nothing special, but I...More

Very small zoo which has mostly domesticated farm animals, some deer and minks. You can get really close to the seals and they are the star attraction. There is no seal show.

I notice a lot of people criticizing this place as "good for kids" and I wonder if that misses the point. It is literally called a "family park" and is deliberately geared for kids. If you don't have kids, don't expect much. If you do,...More

Went with my 21 year old daughter. She'd have lived it when she was under 10 as there is a huge kids play area at the top end of the zoo. The actual zoo is OK with some cute baby seals and Arctic foxes. Spent...More

You can see the whole zoo in 30-45 minutes. Not too many animals, but interesting to see what a zoo in a country different from yours is like. My 3 year old loved it. She got to feed a reindeer and she loved riding the...More

We stumbled onto this park while walking through the Botanical gardens nearby. The zoo is very small and more of an exhibit, which is good considering they are animals out of their natural habitat. The kids were able to see artic foxes. We walked over...More

My husband and I visited the zoo and gardens while on holiday last week. We had checked the website for the entrance fee and it said Ellilifeyrisbegar-fritte which we translated and means retired free. As we are both over 67 it should have been free...More

Not your standard zoo by any means. Mostly farm animals. The park portion of the zoo, however, was surprisingly fun for the kids. Zorbs on water and motorized bumper boats were amongst my 11 and 13 year olds' favorites.

The zoo is small and focuses on the animals that live in Iceland, so it's not a very exotic mix. There isn't much for education about the animals. However, there is a sweet Norse mythology themed carousel and the animal exhibits are clean and nice...More

I went here because it was a short walk from my hotel, and it was free with the City Card. It's a very small zoo, but I enjoyed the animals they had on display. I don't have kids, but if you do, this place is...More
