My wife and I went to City Hall to get sightseeing information from the tourist office on the ground floor. The staff was helpful and there were plenty of guides and maps. I also viewed a very large scale 3D topographic map of the Island....More

The building was fairly average although it was in an interrsting historical area and had a great location of the lake.

The Radhus (city hall) is not a must-see when in Reykjavik, but it offers a really nice overview over Iceland and Reykjavik today. Also the view over the lake is amazing.

We visited the Reykjavik City Hall on Lake Tjörnin to pick up our city cards. The city card is a fantastic deal because it’s valid for free unlimited bus travel, one free ferry trip, free entry to a variety of museums and other attractions as...More

The building looks nothing modern from the outside, it looks like old building next to the big pond. But when you walked inside, it looks amazing next to the pond. The tourists information center is probably the biggest in Iceland, so much of information around.

The place is nothing special, but it has a nice pond and a walk path around. Might be a good "detour" on the way to Laugavegur street.

I know it seems a weird thing to say but go here you will be surprised. There is an excellent 3d map of Iceland showing everything. You will be impressed. Located by the lake in the city centre. Easy to find.

It is worth a visit to City Hall, as they have a dimensional map of Iceland which shows the topography of the entire country.
