Bjarni was a great guide he was knowledgeable and really funny. At first you may feel awkward as it appears that you may be the only person for the tour but minutes before the tour starts lots of people turn up :) :) there is obviously walking involved but by no means a strenuous amount. Although the city is small... More

My guide was Bjarni. Now only was he informative, he was also able to deliver these information with wit and humour. A comedian indeed! Despite the wind and cold, it was two hours of my Saturday well spent. There was no pressure to tip him at the end of the tour, but how could one not to given the quality... More

Very informative and fun. The tour guides (Marteinn and Johannes [my spelling is probably wrong]) were very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. They speak of their country with such pride that it makes you fall in love with Iceland right away.

We were met by ou tour guide Bernie, he is an entertainer and comedian. The tour lasted 2 hours. Bernie was a great tour guide, very informative and was very witty in his approach. He was able to answer any questions from the group. In winter the tour is only on a Saturday at 12 . At the end you... More

I had a great time on my free walk. I did give a tip (or donation, or whatever you want to call it - Iceland does not have a tradition of tipping, but as the guide said, they never say no to them, either). This walk took a little over two hours, and went through a small part of the... More

This is a great tour with informative and amusing narrative about the history of Reykjavik. We were advised to pre-book, which the kind folks at the tourist information did, although you can do it via Facebook I believe. This is defiantly worth 2 hours of your trip to get a taster and an idea of the geography of Reykjavik. Good... More

This walking tour is free but at the end of the trip the guide does ask for a free will donation. The tour takes you into the side streets and areas of the city that one would overlook yet give a good look at "everyday" life. The tour takes you through several small parks, containing sculptures and statues of famous... More

We have done walking tours in most countries we have visited and wanted to see what this one had to offer. There were 2 guides, one which i recall being Thor and one that was learning the ropes and i apologise for not remembering his name. However they were both extremely amusing tour guides, both informative but never taking themselves... More

Book in advance through the tourist office and get a history graduate to guide you through the streets of downtown Reykjavik. If it's wet they head indoors but you will enjoy a friendly, knowledgeable, humorous guide. Sara a history teacher will tell you all about vikings and elves and concludes with a stunning artwork in the City Hall. Donations invited... More

So glad we did this tour of Reykjavik town centre. Our guide Berty was funny, informative and very knowledgable, and showed us features of the town we would never have seen otherwise. Our 1 1/2 hour tour turned into 2 hours, wish it had gone on for longer ! Would recommend it to anybody. Advice - make sure you wear... More
