We were reluctant to book horseback riding in advance because the Icelandic weather is unpredictable, and we really didn't want to ride in the cold rain, but we booked anyway. And we are so glad we did. We had very comfortable weather, a little cool...More

😊The plus side: incredible landscape, beautiful horses, interesting background of surrounding area geographically and historically. 😞And on the minus side: the intro was ridiculously long. 1 hour in door demonstration with beer keg and rocks before you actually get to see a horse. I was...More

We are sad and sorry to read your review. As a start we have to inform that the introduction is NEVER 1 hour inside and it wasn’t on your tour either. State of mind and perception of time can of course be different from person...More

A fun-filled afternoon riding Icelandic horses through unique countryside with volcanic terrain. The guides were quite excellent, and the horses quite lively. You must do this!

We had a great time on the volcanoes tour... I am an experienced rider, both with Icelandic Horses and with other breeds and my husband is very novice. We both had a great time. They spend a great deal of time explaining history of horses...More

We've ridden throughout the US and Canada but this by far was the best. Begga, the owner and our guide, is a top-notch hostess and tour operator. She is exuberant, informative and her love for her horses shows in everything she does. Although her introduction...More

Best to go to their website and check the calendar. I would imagine it would be a wee chilly in December.

The stable should be able to accommodate both your husband and daughter. There is an FAQ on their website which if I remember correctly allows riders up to 225 lbs. My husband is just under 200 and he rode just fine.
