This place is amazing! At the strongest moments of a 50 kph wind storm, with snow/ice driving into our faces, we went to Nautholsvik and had a fantastic time. Only locals were with us, and the folks running the place were, I think, amazed that three Americans would arrive in such conditions. But we had the best time... running down... More

Visited here late morning one Friday for something else to do. Arguably it was worth visitng just for the walk to it along the coast to the west of it around the airport. When we arrived the hot pool was relaxing to sit in but not very big and felt OK if relatively crowded. The most disappointing thing was that... More

We stopped by the beach while out for a run, so didn't actually go in the pools. The beach itself is nice, but the view from the trails above is even better. There are both gravel pedestrian trails (crushed volcanic rock) and well-maintained bike paths that go alongside the waterfront.

This is probably the best thing we did on our trip! and it only cost 600isk which is so cheap. Crazy when you think a baguette is about 900isk. We were not really sure what to expect with this but we read recent tripadvisor reviews which were so helpful. The pool opened at 11am (march) and we got there around... More

The way I read the ad (description), my impression was that it is a year-around attraction, which was definitely the case. I cannot say much about Summer, but it is definitely not a Winter thing.

An amazing experience - come early if you want to avoid the crowds. When we left at 12:30pm, the hot tub was already getting pretty near full. Bring your own towel, and be aware that there are no lockers. You can opt to put your valuables into a little basket that is stored at the front desk. Definitely worth a... More

The beach was chilly though the sand was BOILING FROM THE GEOTHERMAL. They dug up a loaf of bread from the boiling hot geothermal sand. Then we went lathered butter on it and feasted on the lightest tastiest bread ever.

A cool beach where local hang out in the "hot pot" after taking a swim in the sea. There's change rooms here and a small ice cream kiosk.

the hot tubs were sadly empty and the building was closed when we visited even though this was not stated anywhere online. The beach itself was beautiful though and a lovely place to watch the sunset.

I come here every time I'm in Iceland. Its great to escape the other tourists and be immersed with the locals! It is free during the summer months, and about 600kr in the Winter months. The hot pool is great for relaxing and there is also an enclosed bay where you can swim in the ocean. The beach is close... More
