The tour itself was just ok. We stopped to see a few fjords, saw a hot spring on a farmers land and stopped at a small buffet for lunch. Nothing overly exciting or special. The glacier tour portion is run by a different company and...More

The trip was well organized and timely though the weather was not on our side. Sceneries were amazing, accommodation above average and guide is superbly friendly. Meals were incredulously expensive in Iceland though, and as the trip brings you out to the wilderness, there is...More

Day long trip, we visited a lot of wonderful places and some extras (ice cream shop within a farm with window on the cows, geothermal bakery). The driver/guide gave us A LOT of information ruring the travel!

We did the Extreme Iceland Ultimate Icescape tour in Skaftafell in May and it was really good. The tour guide was really friendly and knowledgable and explained the safety information very clearly. The weather wasn't perfect but we had an amazing time nonetheless. I'd thoroughly...More

HI there, You might be able to hike to the edge of the glacier where it crawls down to the lowlands, it depends on the weather conditions. Right now it would be possible. You will always get a view of it though! Best... More

The site says the ice age tour--into the glacier is available year-round. We plan to be there in the beginning of May. Are there still glaciers and ice caves to see at that time of year?
