A site to behold in winter when significant parts of this 32m waterfall is frozen solid but enough runninv water is fed from the Langjokull glacier to cteate huge sprays of water at the base of the waterfall. Well worth a visit.

Iceland is all about geysirs and waterfalls; therefore, during your visit here, it is well worth a visit to the Golden Circle- Geysir-- even though there was only one hot spring here that was erupting with full capacity-- Stokkur (churn)- the visit was enjoyable as...More

Went on the classic golden triangle today, Gullfoss geysir, fantastic, The whole tour is great but to see this mighty geyser erupting every 10 minutes, just magnificent. The scenery is breath taking. Nothing compares to it, don't get the camera out straight away, just watch...More

Do not miss this, the views are just amazing, and well worth it. Bring rain gear because the fall's spray will get everything wet- including the camera gear. If the winds are high, be careful not to lose the camera gear-knocked over or worst.

I travelled with Raykjavik Sighteeing on their South Coast Tour. It was fantastic. The guide whose name translates to "Hawk" in English was knowledgable and keen. We saw the fantastic glacier and wonderful waterfalls and the fanous volcano that grounded the airlines in 2010. A...More

We visited this restaurant and shop as part of an organised trip to the large waterfall nearby. We ate local cuisine which we enjoyed. The bread rolls were amazing and the wine very drinkable.

We visited in early Sept and it was quite a sight - however going in winter would probably be even better with snow and the waterfall somewhat frozen. This is a bit of a haul from Reykjavik and we used ShoexIceland to book the tour,...More

We were completely blown away by this experience. The waterfall was stunning-we walked down the path to the bottom area where the water was raging. We did get quite wet, but it was well worth it. We noticed that there was an area where cars...More
