The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing around in fantastic colours across the Icelandic Arctic sky. The Northern lights are caused by the interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole. That creates this wonderful light effect, known as the Aurora Borealis. The locations visited are different every tour since we go where it’s most likely to see the Northern Lights each day. This tour is dependant on weather and sightings are not guaranteed. Refreshments not included.

This was an expensive tour for someone to drive you to a cold car park for an hour. Would recommend that you book one of the tours that includes a meal or spa experience to make it worthwhile in case the lights don't appear. Our...More

Northern Lights were great, the night we were out. Great time. Plan more than one Northern Lights opportunity. 2 out of four nights scheduled were failures. One re-scheduled, and one a Lights "no show." 50% success! Fantastic! Golden Circle on a very cold windy short...More

A well-organised excursion, with the constantly upbeat and informative tour guide, Siggy and his skilled driver, Herman. Much effort was made to drive to a place where we would get the best view. When we went, we were taken close to a restaurant that stayed...More

It depends on where the aurora map will be that night. I suggest you download the Aurora app from the Apple App Store so you’ll have an idea about aurora locations.
