Very Nice Christmas Theming, But Somewhat Disappointing!

We visited the Christmas Garden while we were on a tour from our cruise ship. We are big Christmas people and collect ornaments from everywhere we travel. This was a place that we... read more

We didn't really know what the Christmas House was going in and thought we were in for a touristy and cheesy experience, but found it delightful. There is a giant walk-in advent calendar. There are all sorts of cute outdoors Christmas displays. It wasn't crowded, so we took photos in front of things like nerds, but I swear that we... More

This is a cute and charming Christmas Garden, however, more than likely must more enjoyable during our visit of November with snow - making it feel a lot like Christmas. Worth a gander.

What a lovely place to visit if you are in Akureyri. It is small and cute, full of Christmas all around in the shop, where the owner hiimself is the seller behind the desk, he is very friendly and you can tell he loves this from the bottom of his heart. Worth to visit if you are around and relax... More

We visited the Christmas Garden while we were on a tour from our cruise ship. We are big Christmas people and collect ornaments from everywhere we travel. This was a place that we were really looking forward and were somewhat disappointed. The realism of the theme was excellent, but that also included a real wood burning fireplace and the heavy... Even though this is a very touristy place it is one of those places when you pull up to it you can not help having a huge smile on your face. It is Christmas all year around here. There is a little gift shop where you can get almost any kind of ornament you can think of, however there are... More

A very expensive place to visit with very little being locally made crafts. Many items from the UK produced just a few miles from home with very over inflated prices. Purely a tourist trap

Beautiful Christmas Garden with beautiful christmas items to look at. Fun for all family members to enjoy. The christmas ornaments are very expensive though, so it's more to look at than to buy.

This Christmas shop does have a fairly extensive inventory of decorations and ornaments, but if you are looking for authentic Icelandic items, the selection is slim. What ever you do, be careful when making the mental calculation from Krona to USD - I made an expensive error and ended up paying over $300 for a four-inch long hand-carved Santa Claus... More
