Absolutely loved this- definitely one of our highlights in Iceland! Solveig, our guide, was really lovely. She made us feel very relaxed (especially considering we were beginners) and talked about the local area and horses. We rode mainly off road and the views were absolutely stunning. Cakes and tea were a great surprise after the ride. I would highly recommend... More

Horses and staff were wonderful! We were beginner riders and found that the one hour was great to see some of the surroundings but not end up with too sore legs

Wow how amazing! Deborah our guide was fantastic. After seeing our riding ability, she soon adjusted the 2hr ride to include river crossings, deep snow, up and down snowy mountains, lots and lots of cantering. Thank you so much!!!

We did an one hour ride during a snowy day in mid-March - the ride was lovely, such a great opportunity to get up close with the beautiful horses. Although the weather didn't allow us to have a good view, but it made it a different type of experience. They do provide warm overalls for you to wear in cold/winter... More

While traveling thru the region I noticed the signs for Polar Hestar. Wanting to surprise my wife with a ride the next morning I emailed them late the night before not thinking we could book at such late notice. Juliane emailed back almost immediately and set up a ride for 10am. We greatly enjoyed our two hour ride the next... More

Stefan's farm was breathtakingly beautiful, calm, majestic, stretching far and wide, with snow covered mountains and the fjord in the background. We've never ridden horses before, but the Icelandic horses were lovely and very well mannered so it's easy to control. The ride was a blast. Nothing even compares to the feeling of galloping through an open field bathed in... More

Icelandic horses are wonderful. They're my favourite. Riding them in Iceland was the best! Our guide Julia was great. We walked, trotted, tølted and cantered in the lovely natural area around Polar Hestar. Recommended for any riding fanatics (not weighing more than 80kg).
