Spent four days in the Kvarken area. Really good map available from the Vaasa Turist office for free. And you are going to need it in order to find nice sites to land and pitch your tent. Bring your own drinking water.

Probably better to come in the summer but we still enjoyed it as we had a beautiful sunny day in April. We took a packed lunch as we figured the cafes would be closed. Only Berny's, just over the Replot bridge, was open. Handy being...More

A 35 minutes drive from Vaasa. Nature trail, easy and well marked. You can choose a shorter " Bodvattnet runt" or a longer which takes You to a fireplace. You will find shelter and firewood there. Bring You own food and enjoy! We trekked slowly...More

Local people are glad to show you the morene island and their wildlife. White tail eagle and other birds a easy to spot from a small boat or the birdwatch tower.

Really nice surprise to find this here in Finland! Pretty seaside are with very variable nature, specialty is of course the rising land - it's well to be seen from tower at Svedjehamn, but also from boat tours made to nearby islands. Use some days...More
