The place is a must visit in Turku. The church in a way symbolizes the city. It can be seen in a lot of post cards and every person who visited and lived in the city has a picture of it or have it as a back ground in their pictures. It always provides a good backdrop in all seasons.... More

During a casual walk along the river after we checked in to the hotel we saw the cathedral. Decided to stop in and check it out. Wow! There are a service going on and the singing was beautiful. The place is an awesome sight and something worth visiting.Glad we stopped and check that box!

Do not miss this. Inside lies a Queen and she is not Finnish but Swedish. The pipe organ was playing, there are tombs and altars, there are old paintings on the walls faded with time, there are bodies buried beneath the church. This is such a fascinating place, a historical and religious place, a must see if you are in... More

The cathedral is really beautiful (not as much in the inside than the outside). It's good to visit it to understand the history of Turku.

Every time I visit Turku I always pop into the cathedral. Regardless of how many times I see it, it'll always be a treat on the eye and leave me smiling. The outside doesn't really represent what you'd see inside. Both are still visually beautiful and if you like history, you'll love it. Winter, Sring, Summer, Fall...its doesn't matter. All... More

Full of history, super beautiful cathedral. Not take long time to visit, because it is next to city centre. Maybe not the most interesting for little children.

I always take my foreign guest to see this church. It might not be all gold and glory, but it is a wonderful and huuuuge church and a bit piece of Turku's history. Also in December they have the biggest Christmas tree in front the the church!

Definitely worth a visit on your wanderings through Turku -no service was on so we walked straight in. There is no charge to look around.

I like to visit churches and cathedrals when I am travelling although I am not at all into religion. The Turku Cathedral is definitely a place to visit. Impressive about details and size. Don't miss it !
