Kauppahalli is a place that fits as well for the locals as for visitors. It is right in the heart of Turku. It is excellent place to enjoy a lunch made out of fresh ingredients, especially fish and seafood. Even you would not be hungry the atmosphere is most relaxing and you can feel the history in small stands that... More

Good sushi, probably best in turku. Tiny restaurant, but good service. Open only day time, until five a clock.

Kauppahalli(=market hall) is having 120 years celebrations this year and after their renovation, this is absolutely a must visit among tourists and locals! Located right in the middle of Turku, beautiful old building and inside full of interesting restaurants and little kiosk like shops. Lots of different ethnic foods all over the world, meat, fish, breads, liquer store, delicious Cafés... More

Here you can find material for own cooking and there is also few nice restaurants for lunch time. Atmosphere is from early 1900´s

Nicely laid out, well patronised and full of different food stalls. You can have dishes from Mexico, Thai, Vietnam, Italy. Cakes, ice creams, nuts, cheeses and local Finnish delicacies. A much more appealing place than many of the local restaurants. We had lunch than bought various dishes to have for our dinner.

It was such a lousy place before renovation. Now this place is full of budget restaurants, and it is joy to stop by for lunch on weekdays as well as saturdays. My personal fav is Herkkunuotta in where you can get amazing fish dishes in budget price.

this small covered market is the perfect place where to find Finnish food and products. We had lunch there: a pie filled with salmon, eggs and barley served with salad. It was really delicious! It came with a bottle of water as well.

A lot of good quality foodstuff, eaterys and cafés and a liquor store which is mostly selling organic wines. The place ain't big though, but that just makes it atmospheric and totally worth going if you're nearby. Check out the sushi place: it's best in town and not a chain place.

Beautiful place to visit. Very cheap tea shop, many cafes. My favourite is the old train wagon which is a cafe. I higly recommend visiting the market hall. Only dissapointing thing is that it says on the web site of the market hall that the hall opens at 8.00 am. Well yes the doors open at 8 and so do... More
