Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Is a gorgeous Finnish Orthodox Church. Its interior is splendid and even moreso on a Sunday when church is in session.

Tampere Orthodox Church was completed in 1899. This red-brick church is located near the railway station.

On our visit, the church was fenced around and there were construction works on the street next to it.

In Tampere not fare away from the CS you find the Alexander Newski Church which is a Orthodox church buildt in 1899 and damaged a lot during the Finish civil war in 1918 but restored later.
The church is buildt in red bricks dark roof and 6 towers with onion cupolas in cupper all in the Russian Roman style.
There are a lot of steps up to the church but it looked like a kind of out door elevator to the left of the entrance. The church was open and we went in, a lot of gold and typically orthodox style very nice to see, but no pictures to be taken at all!!!

A beautiful church that is much smaller then it looks from the outside.

It’s a church that was destroyed during the wars but has been masterfully restored (apart from one painting that is kept destroyed as a reminder).

Typical Orthodox church next to the train station in Tampere. Nice place to visit during your trip to Tampere. Similar architecture to Uspenski Cathedral in Helsinki.

Lovely Orthodox style church, very close to Tampere University and also railway station. Might remember you about the Uspenski Cathedral in Helsinki. When I went there, it was closed but a local explained that it would be open on the following day (a Saturday) at 18 o'clock. :) Enjoy Tampere.

Beautiful church in Russian style architecture, stands out from the rather mundane architecture around it. Beautifully illuminated at night.

This Church makes you feel that Finland has always been between east and west. Between Catholic and Ortodox culture.
